Once upon a time a dainty woman donned her prettiest hat, put her pink gloves on and walked to the store to buy a birthday card for her friend. She loved to walk along in the sunshine, enjoying the sweet smell of the roses in her neighbours gardens. It was Spring and people were happily emerging from their little homes after a long cold Winter. Friends waved and shouted greetings along the way and little dogs happily barked their hello's through picket fences. How wonderful to be alive she thought, she was young, the world was at her feet and life was an adventure to be enjoyed.
