French Blue Treasures From My Travels

Yes I have been antiquing again !

and this time it's in the French Blue variety
It's just the way that it happened really. I never set out to find one colour in particular but I seem to gravitate towards the colour blue anyway I suppose.

On recent travels to a pretty little town in NSW, Australia called Windsor, I found these treasures. Well all except for the portrait anyway......that just matched my colour scheme for the photo ! lol

I found an antique store in the first 1/2 hour of being in the quaint historic town.  My boys who I travelled with rolled their eyes in disappointment because the last thing they wanted to do was look at 'crusty old teacups' ! (or so they said anyway !)

I had to be quick as the weather was so hot and we needed to find our accommodation so it was only a quick stop. In that space of time I found a treasury of antique greeting cards that I loved and the boys were happy to escape the horrors of antique shopping !

Over the next few days I found lots of little treasures. A pretty lengthy of lace, a crochet teapot, vintage buckles and some really great wire creations that I will share with you another day.
While the boys browsed at the lolly shop I browsed through the cute craft stores in the area.
We had a great week together and they did very well in their sporting competition. I DID take a thousand photo's....oops !
(I go a little crazy with the sports shutter button.)

I have more tales to tell of our travels and will share them with you tomorrow.

For now please scroll down and take a browse through my pics.

(above) A pretty little postcard for my daughter that I found.
(below) Don't you just looove that little crochet teapot !

A pretty French Blue coloured evening gloves made me smile
and I couldn't resist this
Happy New Year card because I wanted to wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR !

and I really wish from the bottom of my heart that you do all have a very Happy New Year. May it be filled with laughter, love and good health.

Can't wait to see you all again tomorrow for more tales from my travels.  Have a happy day !

The fireplace is full of wood and we are trying to stay warm. No yard sales for us this time of year so I go into withdraws until spring!! Thanks for sowing us your goodies!
