Christmas Feature No.2......Scrapbooking Bunting Flags

Christmas Craft.....Feature  No.2
Scrap booking Bunting

A very simple Christmas craft.
I have used pretty scrap booking papers kindly sent to me by Aunty Vera's Scrap and Craft.  See Aunty Vera's website for purchasing details for these papers.

I have made my bunting flags to be hung in a doorway so the back of my bunting is reversible. You could also pop some more letters on the back of the flags as well.

I began my project.......
By cutting a simple template. Each piece of cardboard was 10cm wide and16cm long to the tip.
Then I cut a second piece of cardboard in the same shape but I used a smaller dimension,  8cm wide and 13cm long.
Scrap booking sticker squares or a really good craft glue will adhere these two pieces together.
I then cut a smaller piece of cardboard in another print 10cm wide and 5cm long and glued it to the top of the flag at the rear. Turning over your flag you should have the bulk of the cardboard at the top of the rear and a smaller amount at the front.

Using a hole punch, I punched 2 small holes in the top corners of each flag.
Then thread your choice of ribbon, lace or other pretty trim through the holes until joined together.  You can put a small knot between each flag or simply put a dob of glue to the ribbon to hold  flag in place to stop it from slipping.
Then, use your creativity and decorate.  You can find glittery letters at craft or dollar stores to create your word.
I sprayed my finished project with a gold 'Glimmermist' spray from 'Aunty Vera's Scrap and Craft. It gave it a pretty glitter finish.....I love a bit of bling !

Use a variety of coordinating papers and use scraps of trim to add dimension and interest.

Big Thankyou's and hugs to my sweet friend Vera from 'Aunty Vera's Scrap and Craft for my inspiration. She sent a little parcel of pretties for me to play with. I just love receiving her parcels !

ENJOY YOUR CRAFTING
If you make one of these buntings and want to share a picture I would love that !

My bunting will be wrapped in pretty paper and sent down the expressway to Aunty Vera to say thankyou for her generosity.
