Our Christmas Celebration - Christmas Table Setting

Welcome to Christmas Day at our home....

My pink and blue theme was thrown out the window when  a lovely friend of mine loaned us some tables to seat our guests and she offered a red and white gingham tablecloth....I couldn't resist !  I teamed it with white linen and antique lace, tea sized tablecloths scattered down the table.
Places were set with my best beloved crystal, silver service and white china dinner set with a dainty gold trim.  Pears were placed at each setting with our guests names tied around the pear stalk. It was was a cute and inexpensive touch and of course some of the guests cleansed their pallets with their pear in between courses.

I used table centrepieces  that I already had around the house. I used my pretty crystal vases with wire frogs in them to stand a few sprigs of my white hydrangeas in. A white iron hurricane lamp was perfect for holding 3 white cane hearts in for my main centrepiece.
Each lady attending received a sweet little glass box that I found from an Indian discount store for $2 each. I replaced the paper inserts with some pretty white spotty scrap booking paper and sprinkled some white glitter in each box. 'Make a Wish' was my message to each lady. I hope each and every one of them finds their wish coming true this year.

On the menu....

Fresh river prawn cocktails with avocado and cocktail sauce (a 40 year old tradition in our family started by my Grandmother)

Baked pork and chicken with crackling, roasted potatoes, pumpkin and fresh green vegetables........and of course gravy

Christmas Pudding (made by mwa in my Grandmother's pudding basin)

and champagne for me !!!

and who can forget the gifts..........

lucky me !

It was beautiful weather, beautiful company, beautiful food and lots of love to share around.

Merry Christmas !

I hope your day was beautiful as well.
