Treasure Hunting on Sunny Saturday

A favourite place of mine to visit and find lots of pretties is Ambleside Cottage. The lovely Gayle Williams who owns this little store has a passion for sewing bric a brac ,laces, pretty china and mountains of lovely linen. It is very hard to leave without finding another little "must have" !  From the moment you walk up the footpath there are wiry birdcages, turn of the century baby prams, highchairs and then  the pretty lace room jam packed with lace, lace, lace ! Simply divine......
A lovely Saturday afternoon in the sun ,talking to happy people and wandering through little antique stores is my idea of heaven. I am loving the green depression glass in the above photo's, another precious memory of my Grandmother as she owned quite a few pieces of this glass.  Stay tuned for more finds in this beautiful shop in future posts.
You will find Ambleside Cottage at 108 Maitland Road, Islington.  Phone (02) 49621532
