Isn't she beautiful !
This old battered piece of loveliness is simply charming.
She stands alone in a drafty corridor at Tocal Homestead in all of her glory.
I wish she could tell her story of times gone by. I wish that she could tell me about the beautiful silk and velvet dresses that brushed past her in 1840.
How I wish the beautiful silk parasols still stood in her little umbrella stand and the beautiful hats still hung on her hooks.
She is just a little bit rusty and her patina is just perfect if you like the shabby chic style. She has a pale grey marble shelf which has well and truly stood the test of time.
How I wish she lived at my home !
This little sweety was my most favourite thing at Tocal Homestead.
From the moment I saw her I was in love.
When walked down the hallway and saw her I sighed.......
What a treasure !
I have had a lovely time sharing my experience at Tocal. Honestly, I have sooo many more pics to share and I will definitely share them with you over the coming weeks.
I haven't shared the freshly baked scones or the sweet photo's of the kitchen, laundry room or the parlour room. A week was just not enough time to showcase this amazing place.
Well my friends, I have a zillion things to do today so I had better get off this comfy chair and get a wriggle on. I have something yummy baking in the oven and places to go.
Have a beautiful weekend and I shall look forward to sharing more with you next week. I have a little 'surprise' to share with you all !
Enjoy
Love Melanie
