Welcome to THURSDAY FLOWERS !
Berry red 'Waratahs' are what I found on my travels to Berry.
Big buckets of happy blooms aren't they !
We were very tempted to buy a big bunch, but travelling with them would have posed a little bit of a problem.
Waratahs are native to our great country and they are a very popular flower choice for many sending an arrangement as a gift.
It was just a few moments later that we discovered the beautiful bakery (see yesterdays post) and they were selling them also. They had mixed their 'Waratahs' with 'Proteas'(native to South Africa). The combination was eye catching !
The pretty blooms matched beautifully with my sweet friend's pretty pants and painted toe nails ! :-)
Walking through the streets of Berry saw me spotting lots of pretty gardens full of blooms.
Aren't these white Tulips stunning (pictured below right)! I spotted them on the counter at the bakery (yesterdays post).
and when we had finished exploring the stores and tea shops we strolled around the neighbourhood.
Beautiful homes and gardens were plentiful. The residents in this beautiful town were very house and garden proud.
This stunning home pictured below caught my eye. I would have loved to have seen what was behind the hedge. The eye for detail in this formal garden was amazing. We simply admired from across the street as we were passing by. If only we had more time I could have walked for miles.
My trusty camera dangling around my neck I kept walking and enjoying the moment.
Wisteria was a common sight around the town.
Beautiful big lilac blooms hung from verandas, trees and garden arch's.
Buzzy bees zoomed all around and butterflies danced in the sunshine.
and in our last stop before we had to leave, we walked up a little path that led to yet another beautiful store and I spotted this little white bridge. It was surrounded by late blooming Azaleas and Camellia trees and lots of shady trees.
It was a beautiful day and I was so happy to find some inspiration for THURSDAY FLOWERS
Spring was painting it's pretty picture all around us and it only added to a fantastic day.
It was a busy day and we were exhausted at the end of it. Lucky for us that we managed to find some energy late in the afternoon when we stumbled upon a sweet shop !
Yes we were happily indulging in sugary treats and filled our energy stores up again ! :-)
Tomorrow on FRENCH BLUE AND PEACHY PINK
I will be showcasing my vintage and antique finds !
I know that you will love them as much as I do !
I found some beautiful treasures and would love to show you all.
SEE YOU ALL THEN !
