My Little Christmas Village

At the risk of sounding very cliche, it really IS beginning to feel a lot like Christmas !

Every year I bring out my little Christmas time cottage community and make a little village in the snow.
Considering that it doesn't snow anywhere near where we live on the coast, it is my little Winter wonderland in the Summer !

I add a new cottage to my village every single year.
This year I added a little bit of 'sparkle' with a little cottage that actually lights up !
It is adorable but I'm using it sparingly as it doesn't appear to be battery powered which isn't a shame but it is so pretty anyway.
The lights inside the cottage change from aqua to blue to lilac to white and to green !
Scroll down and you will see.

There are a few little cottages up the back which are little miniatures without the glimmer but they still play a little role in my community.

and in walks the GIANT SIZED DEER..........

A tad scary for the tiny angel and the little girl riding her cart.
Everyone else is hiding in the little chapel until he goes away !
(sounds a bit like the King Kong movie but King Kong wasn't really big on the glitter ! lol)

........and they all live next door to my Christmas tree, patiently waiting for Santa to arrive because they know the children will leave cookies and milk out and they can sneak out and have a yummy snack !

Tomorrow I am heading up into the country for a couple of days so there will be no blog post tomorrow.
It will be rest and relaxation and crossed fingers some antiquing !

I hope that you will all have a lovely weekend and I will speak with you all again next week !

  3. I love your little Christmas village. It looks so charming on the light blue table with the banner. Your tree is feminine and elegant and at the same time so comfortably homey.
