Guess What ?

Good afternoon my Peachy Pink friends !

This week I have my very first wedding booked in !
I am very excited about :-)

The flowers have been ordered, bouquet styles have been chosen and the bride has been for her last visit to finalise details.
There is so much to think about and do in preparation for the big day.
Is this what my life will entail as a florist now !
Is it really possible that you can do something you love for a living and actually get paid for it ?
I have begun living my dream and it feels wonderful.

I can't tell you too much about the details of the flowers because they are a surprise, but I will tell you that the bouquets include roses.
Bunch after bunch of divine long stemmed roses will fill my work table in the early hours of Friday morning and while the world is sleeping I will be up creating in the silence.

The wedding is a Friday wedding and the bride is a beautiful friend who I have known for a very long time.
I am very fortunate that she trusts me to make her wedding flowers perfect and including me in this special event in her life.
What an honor to be a part of it all.
I can't wait to see her face when I deliver the bouquets to her.

Yes of course I will take photo's !

You all know how fond of the camera I am......
I will promise to take zillions of pics to share.

It is going to be a busy week so I'm not sure how much blogging time I will have. So if you don't see much of me this week then that will be why.
Look forward to lots of wedding flower pics next week !

I hope that you are all happy and well.
Blowing you all kisses across the miles

  8. elanie!
I cannot WAIT to see the pictures...I still wish I could come to help you. I am a really good assistant. I KNOW what you will need because I have been right where you are myself! My 16 year old daughter took a floral arrangeing class last year....Never again will she be able to say, "I don't know how to do that Mom...." She has been the wire cutter, a gazillion 10 inch lengths put in a glass after they are cut, fills corsage boxes with white "grass", tears off florist tape for me prior to use, gets me glasses of water, or hot chocolate, heats up soup for lunch, and counts the number of flowers for me...NOW she will also be making corsages! You will do a beautiful job!
    Hearts to you,
