Spring Time.......Oh How I Love A Good Tea Party !

It's tea party time at my place !
Who would like to join me for a spot of tea and a piece of chocolate slice. Maybe you would prefer a fresh plate of berries ?

I love sitting out in my garden in the sunshine. It's my own little 'cup of tea world' !
I am content to sit there in the silence and read or watch the birds build their little nests in my trees. I have a pair of doves who are sitting on their nest at the moment. I am listening intently for the new little chirp when the baby hatches. They have built their nests deep in the hedge next to my clothesline. I can't see it but I know it is there.

Yesterday I decided to have a little tea party. I set my little table up all nice and pretty and sat and enjoyed my rose infused tea and popped sweet little tasty blueberries one by one into my mouth. Each berry was a popping explosion of sweetness in my mouth......Yum !

So pull up a chair and come and sit with me for a while. I'll pour you a cup and we can have a chat !

If you are going to have a tea party and feel like a princess then you must have the linens to match. I bring out lots of fluffy cushions and a lacy blanket and tiers of pretty tablecloths.
No expense is spared and I love to use my pretty things that otherwise would be gathering dust in my china cabinet.
and it wouldn't be a tea party without a rose or two !
and this is the tea that I love. It is black with an infusion of rose petals. They come in a little organza triangle shaped teabag. Perfect for a posh tea party !
Do you love my rosie tea cosy ?
My lovely friend Miss M made it for me a couple of years ago.
I just adore it.
Would anybody like a musk flavoured Macaroon ?
When setting a table I love to layer my tablecloths. It gives definition and interest to the table. It gives a soft look and even a simple plate of sandwiches all of a sudden turns into something elaborate and fancy.  It is worth the trouble of adding those extra touches.
and don't forget to make your seating comfortable.
Bring out some fluffy cushions or pillows from the bedroom to add warmth and comfort.
It looks beautiful and makes your setting look that little bit extra inviting.

I think I might go and pop the kettle on again.
Would you like another cup ?

I'm heading out there again to lap up some more of those warm sunny rays.

  8. Your tea table looks lovely and just waiting for company to sit back against the lacy pillows. Did you make your own macarons? I hope you'll visit me as I'm recommending a book about tea and macarons, and I am co-hosting a giveaway with A Delightsome Life.
